Rykard is weak to Slash, Pierce, and Frost, but resistant to Magic, Fire, Holy, and immune to Madness and Instant Death. In addition to Bleed, Frostbite, Poison, Scarlet Rot, and Sleep, Rykard is also afflicted by Poison.
Rykard will drop The Great Rune of Rykard and Remembrance of the Blasphemous when defeated.

After figuring out Rykard's attack patterns, its slow, predictable moves will prove easy to dodge. Rykard curls upward with its mouth open and lunges at you sideways. Dodging left or right at the right time is the key to avoiding this grab attack.

During his bite attacks, Rykard makes three consecutive bites to the right, left, and center. By dodging into its attacks, you can avoid this combo: dodge left, dodge right, and dodge forward. Remember that there is a slight delay in the third attack, which can trip you up.

Fire attacks are used a lot by this boss, so make sure to defend against them. In this fight, the Flamedrake Talisman is a good choice, since it protects you from Fire attacks.
