The beauty of Minecraft is that it can be both an easily accessible experience for younger players who simply stack blocks and a full programming venture that can be used to create incredibly complicated systems. Command Blocks have been added to Minecraft Bedrock Edition, allowing you to execute commands that would normally be put in the console.

How to Get a Command Block in Minecraft

To begin with, in order to use Command Blocks, you need to create a Minecraft world in which you will enable Activate Cheats in World Settings – this way, you will be able to use Command Blocks in the Survival mode as well, although they are intended primarily for the Creative mode.

To spawn Command Block in Minecraft Bedrock Edition:

Open the chat

Type the following: /give @p command_block

Click on the Block Type to select one of three Command Block variations:

Impulse Command Block is the default type, they are in brownish/orange color and execute the commands only once each time they are activated.

Chain Command Blocks are in green color and once activated they execute commands every time they are triggered.

Repeat Command Blocks are in purple color and once activated they execute commands every one game tick.
