Hoyoverse Addresses Genshin Impact Game-Breaking Bug, Promises to Restore Lost Items - Are there more bugs in today's games?

The Genshin Impact team surprised players over the weekend with a pretty terrifying bug, in which certain characters could permanently take away interactable items from a player's world. There are a number of items that could disappear from your game, including Treasures, Statues, and Domain Trees. However, Hoyoverse has finally released a statement, ensuring that (almost) all should be working fine now. Related: Genshin Impact “Were It So Easy” Quest Guide – Ring Around the Rosy?



As part of their lengthy announcement, Hoyoverse acknowledged the bug existed and attributed it to a plug-in that tampered with the base game, preventing the bug from naturally occurring. On August 25, they fixed the exploit and started fixing the accounts of those affected the next day, according to their announcement.
