With Unity's Runtime Fee policy being updated to restore goodwill with customers and the game development community after a chaotic two weeks, the engine maker hopes to restore goodwill.



The Runtime Fee process, which originally proposed charging high-performing games per user install, remains a source of nerves for developers, no matter what today's changes have to say. Unity is one of two major game development engines. How could it make a policy that could put them out of business, according to some?
