Counter Strike 2 players mourn lost content, as CS:GO disappears from Steam libraries

As a result of its much-teased release, Counter Strike 2 has become extremely popular, reaching almost 1.2 million concurrent players. Despite the fact that a staggering number of people are trying it out, some are mourning the loss of various game modes, maps, and features.

Having reflected on it, Counter Strike influencer and content creator Anomaly writes, "It's pretty bad that this CS2 release was released." He lists out a number of features missing from the game, such as War Games, new maps, and new content. This game looks great and has a lot of improvements to its quality of life, but this does not seem to fill the void left by the absence of content.



Similar sentiments can be found on Reddit, where users include Cosmictrigger01 share a parallel list of missing features. Comments are full of back-and-forth arguments between those unhappy with the launch and those who don't.
