Level Up: How Cyberpunk 2.0 Takes Inspiration from Doom

As part of the latest 2.0 update, Cyberpunk 2077 has undergone some major changes, but some extra things have also been added, including an arcade game. Related: Cyberpunk 2077: Fix Distorted Relic after “Automatic Love” Quest – Love at First Glitch?



A simple pixel art game set within The Witcher called Roach Race was added to Cyberpunk 2077 with patch 1.6, the last update before 2.0 arrived. You play as Geralt's faithful companion Roach in the game. Aside from it, update 2.0 also added a new side scrolling pixel art game called Trauma Drama, a more run and gun oriented side scrolling pixel art game. The patch notes for 2.0 don't mention another game that's been added in with 2.0.



On the game's subreddit, it is noted that the game is called Arasaka Tower 3D, and it is a Doom-like game where you play as Johnny Silverhand, the main character. As you play Silverhand during his attack on Arasaka Tower, you're likely to feel familiar, as a flashback early in the game tells you first-hand how this happened.
